Ever since I have been a kid, I have known that I wanted to be an engineer. I love solving problems and putting things together. I also enjoy designing things and then seeing them put together. For a long time I thought I was going to be an architect because I have a passion for designing, but that slowly changed as I began High School. I found problem solving through critical thinking in classes like math and physics and became entranced with the engineering world more. It was then hard for me to decide which route I would take. I then heard about Architectural Engineering and I immediately knew it was my calling and passion. It combines the two things I have wanted to do forever into one profession. I am lucky to have found this degree and University.
I love the natural world around me. Any chance I can get to go outside and do something I will take because it has always naturally attracted me. This includes things as mundane as going to the grocery store. I have always found that going anywhere (even to places that your frequent) is always a new adventure and a new opportunity to make memories and experiences. This also usually ties in with being around people because I am a social person that enjoys the companies of others. Granted, my personal preference and choice if I was given one is to be on top of a mountain with someone and feeling the cold air go into my lungs and feeling the accomplishment of a long hike and hard work.
